I (she/her) am a licensed clinical psychologist in the states of New York and New Jersey, and am a registered out-of-state tele-health provider in Vermont and Florida.
I have a private practice with both tele-health and in-person offerings in midtown Manhattan, and work as a staff psychologist at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine Medical Student and House Staff Mental Health Program. I am also an Adjunct Clinical Supervisor at The City College of New York.
I have clinical experience and training in outpatient, inpatient, college counseling, and CPEP settings using a variety of modalities such as psychodynamic psychotherapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and transference-focused psychotherapy (TFP). I completed my PhD at The City College of New York, my psychology internship at Bellevue Hospital, and my postdoctoral fellowship at Columbia University Counseling and Psychological Services. During my PhD I also trained at the NYU Counseling and Wellness Services for undergraduate and graduate students, and at The Psychological Center at City College. My training in several treatment modalities and settings gives me the flexibility to shape treatment to the specific needs of my patients.
My personal research and dissertation work has focused on Multiracial and bicultural experiences--identities that exist on the borders of categorization. Identity and relationship to identity can be complex, especially if it is experienced in a manner beyond the confines of societal organization. My work in this area has informed my clinical approach and style, and I treat all patients in an open-minded, respectful manner, keeping in mind that no one can define or tell your story better than you can.
